The Best Restaurants for the 2018 Holiday Season

The Best Restaurants for the 2018 Holiday Season

Miami is one of the best places to eat in America, thanks to an amazing variety of international cuisines and cultures that call the Magic City home. 2018 brought many newcomers to Miami, both well-anticipated global brands and hyper-local innovative concepts.

My absolute favorites:

Le Sirenuse – 9011 Collins Avenue, Surfside  786.482.2280

Located in the restored Peacock Ally at the Surfclub, Le Sirenuse marries the relaxed barefoot chic feel of Positano with the Art Deco elegance of jazz-era Miami. The ambiance is special, the food divine and the service impeccable. $$$$

La Petite Maison – 1300 Brickell Bay Drive, Miami 305.403.9133

One of Miami’s most elegant restaurants with superb service. I love the green lentil salad and tuna carpaccio to start. All entrees are incredible. La Petite Maison truly achieves a 5-Star dining experience. $$$$

Novikov Miami – 300 S Biscayne Blvd, Miami  305.489.1000

From the moment you walk in, Novikov Miami delivers a sensational dining experience. The colorful seafood and vegetable display is a sight to behold. Seafood is the way to go here, with everything imported directly from Japan! $$$$

Amara at Paraiso – 3101 NE 7th Ave, Miami 305.702.5528

Michael Schwartz’s latest concept is a beautiful waterfront Caribbean/Latin restaurant with delicious food as always. The best seat in the house is outside overlooking Biscayne Bay. Great place to enjoy the cooler evenings this winter. $$$

NW 24th Street in Wynwood

Wynwood is THE place to be with awesome new restaurants opening all the time. I love taking a walk and hopping around the different restaurants and bars located along NW 24thStreet.

Charley’s Vegan Tacos – 172 NW 24th Street, Miami  305.456.8202

The atmosphere might be casual, but the food is extraordinary. And don’t let the name dissuade you: the nachos are a must, as well as the Huarache. The tacos are award-winning, great to share and the best way to try all the different flavors. $$

Crudos Fusion Art – 250 NW 24th Street, Miami 786.238.7103

Executive Chef Edixon Hernandez combines flavors of his native Venezuela with Asian-inspired recipes. The short rib bun is amazing, as is the burger served on a Raman noodle bun. The smoking tuna tartar is an experience you can’t miss! $$
